Chocolate has become an obsession to many people. There are those who almost literally can’t live without a bite of their favourite brown sweet. There are those who have shared the great benefits of eating a chocolate, but what’s really the case of it being bad to the human body? To begin with, chocolates have a lot of benefits: The source of chocolate, cacao, has a lot of antimicrobial agents that help fight tooth decay. But the chocolates in the market are usually contained with a high quantity of sugar which alters cacao’s benefit. Dark chocolate, having the least amount of sugar is considered more healthy. The aroma radiating from a chocolate can increase brain waves which helps in relaxation. Phenyl ethylamine is also found in chocolate, which is a mood elevator. Cocoa butter found in chocolates has oleic acid, a mono-saturated fat that helps in raising good cholesterol. Eating chocolates regularly adds an average of a year or longer to the lifespan of men. The risks in ingesting chocolates are as follows: Chocolate can cause lower bone density. To people with migraines, chocolates can trigger their headaches. Milk chocolates contain a large amount of calories, sugar and saturated fat. Endomorph body types, people who have rounder figures, may want to control chocolate consumption since it is bombarded with calories, sugar and saturated fat. Even those who are ectomorphic (leaner) and mesomorphic (muscular) should be careful and regulate the number of chocolates being taken in.  Going to health centers and applying a fitness program may help people enjoy chocolates without the worry of storing harmful substances in the body. It is important that our health is being monitored so you might be able to enjoy your chocolate bar and not harm your body. Chocolates are one of the most wanted sweetened food not only by the children but also by the adults. We all know that losing weight isn’t easy, which is probably why you have landed on this web page in the first place right?  Well, there is a method that can be easier than most and that’s something called meal replacement shakes for weight loss.  If you’ve not heard about them before or simply want some detailed information on these diet shakes then read on.  I am going to try and explain meal replacement shakes for weight loss in one easy hit. Meal replacement shakes for weight loss are an effective of losing weight as you can control your daily calorie intake, and as well all know less calories equals less pounds right?  OK so we’re in agreement.  This is how they work.  Because weight loss shakes contain fewer calories than a main meal, but they are quite large in volume, they can make you feel like you are full up which should stop you snacking.  I won’t lie to you though – you will probably still feel hungry so unless you some motivation in that large belly of yours then you won’t succeed with meal replacement shakes for weight loss. I was an overweight smoker.  Emphasis on the “was”.  Nowadays I am as fit as fiddle.  I exercise, I don’t smoke, and I eat healthy.  As well as meal replacement weight loss shakes, I also undertook some stop smoking hypnosis sessions last year.  Getting hypnotised to stop smoking might sound wacky – but it worked.  I also lost ten pounds in two months with meal replacement shake for weight loss.  I look and feel better… and the feeling better is the most important aspect to me.  I am just a happier person and lead a healthier lifestyle now.  Believe me, if I can do, then you can do it.  Give meal replacement shakes a go.  You don’t have to make your own, if you fancy you can buy them in the supermarket.  One of the leading brands is called SlimFast – you’ve probably seen them in the shops or on a TV ad.  Give them a go for at least a month, exercise a little, and you too could soon see the different the meal replacement shakes for weight loss can make to your life. Oh, and the best thing?  They are safe and healthy – don’t go near any miracle cures.  You, some desire to win, and these shakes are all you need.  You can do ... Read More

The Top 5 Tips to Lose Weight ...

Posted on: Feb 20, 2011 By: Steve | 0 Comments
I’ve written before about how I lost 42 pounds in a bit over 7 months, and have kept it off since then.  So I’m often asked for weight loss tips to help make the transition to a healthy lifestyle.  I’m happy to oblige, and have boiled my advice down to five tips to lose weight. My top 5 tips to lose weight Here they are, in priority order. Change your mindset. You’re not going on a “diet,” which would be a great way to lose a few pounds temporarily, then become fatter than ever after you fall off the wagon.  You’re embarking on a lifestyle change.  To be healthy, the rest of your life is going to be different.  Reconcile to that fact, and you’ll be set up for success.  On the other hand, if you begin with the idea of enduring discomfort long enough to lose some fat, you’re never going to get or stay healthy. Change what you eat, but don’t be afraid. Healthy food is delicious.  Check out our posts on fat burning foods and clean eating.  You’ll be surprised at how simple – and delicious – healthy eating really is.  Warning:  leave your preconceptions at the door. Enjoy your exercise. I do functional fitness (check out crossfit.com and militaryathlete.com) because it’s always challenging and it’s never the same thing from one day to the next.  I’m never bored, I always have fun competing against myself, and there’s always a new skill to learn.  If you get in an exercise rut doing the same thing over and over, odds are that you won’t last. Sleep. A healthy lifestyle requires sleep, period.  Every mammal must sleep, which is amazing when you consider that sleep is a dangerous activity when other animals are anxious to gobble you for dinner!  That’s evidence that sleep is exceptionally important, and it turns out that it’s necessary for the proper function of every single cell in your body. Relax. Reduce stress in your life.  Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, has been shown to cause additional midsection fat.  Meditation is a terrific method to reduce stress and improve your quality of life, and there are easy methods to learn how to meditate for beginners. It may sound a little bit daunting, but once you start following those five tips to lose weight and improve your overall health and fitness, I think you’ll find that a healthy lifestyle is an addicting proposition.
